Edwina Mackinnon
Over the past 10 years I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to follow a career based on my passion for textiles, particularly in the form or stitched and textured quilts that have been dipped in my indigo vat.
I have taught City & Guilds courses in Patchwork and Quilting, Embroidery and Textile Decoration, with several of my students achieving special commendations. Since becoming Assistant Editor of British Patchwork & Quilting magazine I have travelled extensively to review exhibitions, quilt stores and quilting events
in the UK, mainland Europe and North America. Belonging to 'SiX' encourages me to pursue my fascination with surface decoration, produce new work for exhibition and focus on my own creative development. I continue to teach and lecture, gaining terrific satisfaction from sharing my quilting experiences with other like minded souls.
